3:21 am

Most wacky ideas come when you least suspect it. Mine? Usually when my insomnia kicks in and I'm sitting alone in front of my computer in a sitting room I've grown to cherish. My husband sleeps in the next room completely oblivious to all the life-altering decisions I make for us. He likes it better that way.

Tonight, I've decided blogging is my next adventure. Like most girls, I'm obsessed with the fashion. I shop everywhere from Neimans, Horchow, and Saks to Target, Home Goods, and TJ Maxx. I am the ultimate Maxxinista. I wish i could afford to  shop only at Neimans. But truthfully, I've seen more Last Call than NM. And I'm okay with that. I believe it's not the price that people see, but how I own them.

Vintage stores have been my latest obsession. Classic tweed Chanel to Mandalay evening gowns. I have never been disappointed. Poshmark, Tradesy, and Etsy are personal favorites. (Yes I have profiles up too!) I believe in selling as much as I do purchasing. Its what makes this fantastic world go round.

The ultimate goal here is to open my own vintage boutique. I'm hoping here to gather as many followers as I can to help me set this plan into motion. But I also plan to expand from just clothing to furniture as well. That's my other passion. Furniture for less is my favorite kind. Especially since I've come across mind blowing deals than no one would ever believe. Anything wrong with furnishing my bedroom and sitting room under $300? Didn't think so.

So I am learning how to become a dealer. Furniture dealer, that is. They get the best insider knowledge on private shows and estate sales. Ah yes, estate sales. Music to my ear. That is when the real treasures can be purchased. Anything from St. John Couture Suits to 18th century french furniture.

A girl can dream. But this girl is determined to make that dream into reality. Starting at 3:51 am.
Wish Me Luck,
Mimi D
